Up early this morning to depart Cathlamet, but not early enough to miss low tide. So, we waited a bit for the tide to come in. No problem getting out of Elochman Slough – plenty of water. I love this part of the lower Columbia River where the river widens out with the tree-covered hills. Arrived Lois Island (east of Astoria, behind Mott’s Basin and Tongue Point) 1545. Beautiful here, lots of birds. Anchored with the new anchor snubber. No one else here.
And the full moon rising over Lois Island.
