Summer 2015 – Day 16 – Depart Neah Bay, WA

0700 the anchor is up and we are off into the fog. Fast run down the Strait with the last of the ebb tide (9kts SOG). Motored out 10 miles and put the sails up. No wind and lots of fog. Flapped around for a couple of hours til the wind started to fill in.

IMG_1489[1]Then finally building wind and clearing skies. Close reach out SW for hours in the bright sun and blue water. It doesn’t get any better than this.
